Camping Playa Montroig

Date of visit : April 2007

An excellent site but probably the most expensive on the Costas. Adjacent to a fine beach and with level or ramped access to all facilites you need never leave this site for the duration of your holiday if you did not want to. A railway line unfortunately splits the site in half and it is largely level except where the site road passes under this railway line. Tarmac and hard gravel roads lead to shaded pitches. Premium Deluxe, Premium Classic and Premium Plus pitches are supplied with water as well as electricity. The Plus pitches face the beach and it was noted section B had the best wheelchair access to the beach. The railway is well screened from the site and we did not find the noise of passing trains intrusive. Is it value for money? I guess that is a matter of opinion.

Toilet facilities for disabled : There are no unisex facilities. Wheelchair accessible facilites are within the male and female toilet blocks and have been much improved since our last visit here in 1998. Each room is equipped with toilet, washbasin with good angled mirror, wheel in hand shower with a drop down seat 52cms high if required and a right hand side hand rail.

Entrance width : Not measured but adequate

Room size : small but adequate

Toilet Height : Low 43cms.
