A busy level site within walking distance of the famous tidal current and excellent fishing. All weather roads lead from reception and the facilities block to level well used grassy marked pitches. Reception is accessible and it is not too difficult to get around the site but the disabled facilities are very poor. There is a supermarket and cafe opposite the site and a cycleway leads to the Saltstraumen carpark and the bridge where it is possible to view the strongest tidal current in the world and the whirlpools it creates.

Toilet facilities for disabled : Very poor toilet facilities within the gents and ladies toilets. The toilet is low and there were no accessible showers.
